Hansel Pham is the Office Executive Partner of the Washington DC office of White & Case and a partner in the firm’s Americas International Arbitration Group.
Hansel has served as counsel in high-stakes international disputes, including before US courts and in investment and commercial arbitrations conducted under various arbitral rules and institutions. His practice consists not only of representation in disputes, but in advisory work to avoid and prevent disputes from arising.
Hansel has extensive experience with disputes and advisory work in Saudi Arabia over the past twenty years. He has represented Saudi entities, including the Ministry of Energy, Public Investment Fund, and Saudi Aramco, in international litigation and/or arbitration-related proceedings in various fora. He works with other Saudi entities, such as NEOM and the King Abdullah University for Science and Technology, on litigation risk mitigation and corporate structuring. More generally, Hansel regularly advises clients in the Middle East on their dispute resolution options and risks.
In addition to serving as Office Executive Partner, Hansel has been entrusted with a number of other leadership positions. He has served as Chair of the DC Bar Attorney/Client Arbitration Board, Chair of the International Bar Association’s North American Regional Forum, President of the IBA Foundation, and Chairman of the Board for a local non-profit organization.
